Automated Breast ultrasound (ABUS) uses sound waves to create images of breast tissue. It does not use radiation and is non-invasive. At Genesis, we use advanced automated breast ultrasound (ABUS) technology to capture detailed images of the entire breast.
No referral is required to schedule a breast ultrasound (ABUS) screening at Genesis. However, we encourage you to discuss your screening plan with your healthcare provider if you have questions or specific medical concerns.
Genesis is a cash-pay clinic and does not bill insurance directly. Some patients choose to submit receipts to their insurance provider or use HSA/FSA funds, depending on their plan.
Your visit is designed to be simple, comfortable, and efficient.
When you arrive, you’ll be welcomed into a calm, private setting. A trained technologist will guide you through the process and perform your automated breast ultrasound (ABUS) screening while you lie comfortably.
The exam typically takes 20–30 minutes and does not involve compression or radiation.
